Zevenbergen / Oisterwijk, August 1, 2022 – Able2 Europe B.V., total supplier of care and rehabilitation aids  based in Zevenbergen (NL), has taken over Aukjor BV, a company based in Oisterwijk (NL) that specializes in aids for the blind and partially sighted under the trade name Worldwide Vision. By acquiring Worldwide Vision, established in 1996 by Rinus Snoeren, Able2 Europe B.V. is expanding its current portfolio underlining ambitious growth aspirations.

Established in 2002, Able2 Europe B.V. is the total supplier of care and rehabilitation aids for young and old. Able2 Europe B.V. imports innovative care and rehabilitation aids worldwide and delivers exclusively through specialist dealers: medical aids dealers, medical supply stores, web shops, rehabilitation shops, pharmacies, wholesalers and health care institutions. The aids are accessible, of exceptionally good quality, and have been developed to make lives of patients easier and more mobile.

Recent forecast by CBS, the Dutch Central Statistical Office, indicates that the average life expectancy of 60-year-olds in 2040 will be three years longer than for the 2013-2016. Elderly people live more consciously and healthier, exercise more and pay more attention to their diets. “One in six seniors of 60 and over indicates to have restrictions. But also more and more younger people suffer from (chronic) conditions and limitations. Able2 offers something for everybody, young and old, with or without limitations,” says Richard van Eekelen, Able2 Europe B.V.’s managing director.

“Our company forms the link between on the one side medical science, doctors, occupational therapists, and healthcare providers, and on the other side product designers, technicians and engineers. Worldwide Vision’s acquisition adds a new customer segment to our portfolio and expands our product range. Moreover, the common denominator enables us to achieve beneficial synergy in many areas. This takeover will make Worldwide Vision’s position even stronger. Our growth expectation is that we will double Worldwide Vision’s turnover within 3 to 5 years.”

It's not the first acquisition Able2 group of companies has done to expand their product portfolio. In 2008, Able2 took over Spinal Product Ltd., a manufacturer of seat, back, head and positioning cushions. Isagi Ltd was acquired in 2017, a company specialised in non-slip products for safety and grip in and around the house, and in the workplace. As for the extremely wide sales channel, Able2 also supplies this product range to other industries, such as automotive and boating.

Able2 Europe B.V head office is located in Zevenbergen. The company was formed in 2002 alongside Able2 UK Ltd. In 2010, Able2 Spain was launched and in 2019 an office in Alicante in order to service the Spanish and Portuguese markets. The Able2 Group now has over 60 employees and an annual turnover of about 11 million Euros.
